This song has two rare recording preserved by The Strachwitz Frontera Collection of Mexican and Mexican American Recordings, part of the library collection of the University of California, Los Angeles. The song was composed by Pio Treviño, performed by La Movida and Lisa Lopez, and recorded by Hacienda Records (Corpus Christi, Texas). La Movida was a 1970s-1980s Tejano (Tex-Mex) band led by singer Ricky Smith (1955-2020). Lisa Lopez sang in the early 1980s.
