[Intro]

-¿A poco? ¿En serio? Pues conquístala.

-Pero pues ¿cómo le hago?

-Flores, chocolates a veces.

[Intro translation]

-Hey compadre, there’s this blonde girl who – no, man – she catching on me, look. Here inside my heart.

-Really? Serious? Well, get her!

-But then, how do I do it?

-Flowers, chocolate sometimes.

-Uh no, see I was thinking more a serenade.

-A serenade?

-A serenade.

-But you don’t sing!

-But YOU do!

[Song]

Tonight I am going to roam around your house
To see if by chance I see you
With those jeans that you use, my girl,
You make all my hair stand on end.

Tonight I am going to roam around your house.
I am going to pass in front with my new truck
With my wool cowboy hat angled half off,
And accompanied by an 18 (ounce) beer.

(x2)

I hope you brave a stroll with me
Because it’s been a while now that I’ve wanted to go out with you.
I hope you feel bold and lose that fear a bit,
Maybe we can grab a beer this Sunday.
(x2)

Si no noche tras noche voy a salirte a rondar.

Come on, blondie, don’t make me beg,
Because my arms want to hug you.
Come on, blondie, don’t make me beg,
Or else night after night I am going to come out to roam around you.

[Musical interlude]

Tonight I am going to roam around your house
To see if by chance I see you

Y acompañado de un 18 de cerveza.

Tonight I am going to roam around your house.

With my wool cowboy hat angled half off,
And accompanied by an 18 (ounce) beer.

Translation Notes:

Ojalá = hopefully, God willing

This is one of the many Spanish words of Arabic origin. It comes from the Arabic phrase inshallah or ‘law šá lláh which means “God willing”.

-Hey compadre, there’s this blonde girl who – no, man – she catching on me, look. Here inside my heart.

-Hey buddy, there’s this blonde girl who – no, man – she making me fall, look. Here inside my heart.

Uh no, see I was thinking more a serenade.

Uh no, well I was thinking more a serenade.

<Ojalá> [te animes a] tirar un rol conmigo

<I hope> [you brave] a stroll with me

<I hope> [you are emboldened to] take a stroll with me

The phrase tirar un rol is Mexican slang for “take a stroll”.

I hope [you feel bold] and {lose that fear a bit},
(Maybe) <we can grab> a beer this Sunday.

I hope [you feel bold] and {lose that fear a bit},
And (possibly) <we drink> a beer this Sunday.

una chela (Mexican slang) = a beer

hecharse una cerveza/chela = to drink a beer (literally to “throw a beer at oneself”)
